Oct 8 2008 >> USC Neigborhood Academic Initiative Program
The USC Neighborhood Academic Initiative Program serves a population of low economic, underrepresented, first-generation college-bound students and their families living in South Central Los ANgeles to prepare them for entrance into USC.  Last year, 50% of the graduating class became entering freshmen with scholarships, with the other remaining students gaining admissions to other prestigious 4 year universities around the nation.  We provided food for 150 students and family members for the Gilded Dreams celebration.

Oct 3 2008 >> Homies Unidos Youth Tournament
Homies Unidos works to end violence and promote peace in communities through gang intervention, the promotion of humane treatment of marginalized youth, and providing alternatives to gang involvement.  On October 3rd, Homies Unidos hosted a Youth Tournament. We provided food for 40 people.
